Parallel Chic

So here's the deal. I'm starting something called Parallel Chic, which is celeb looks that you can get for cheaper. Because lots of websites show you the celeb but then show you the exact shirt they are wearing which is usually an expensive designer or piece like it but also really expensive. So I will show you a look that is sometimes exactly alike, and sometimes just an inspiration. The point is to get the chic look. So here is the first one.
Angie Harmon. She always goes for the classy look with the chic edge. Plus we all know that this season a purple piece is a must. Here's how to get this look.

The skirt: The point is that it's purple with detail. In this case it's a plaid print.
Marc By Marc Jacobs $153.90 at Shopbop.com

The Shirt: Any simple white cotton v neck will do, as long as it's a bit loose so that you can tuck it in while comfortably letting it loosen up.
Lux $19.99 Lux at UrbanOutfitters.com
The belt. It looks like Angie is wearing a tan peacock feather belt. But all you want here is simple natural color belt that still gives the outfit a bit of a kick. This one is snake embossed and animal print is totally in. Plus this will go with so many of your outfits.
Gianni Bini $60.00 at Dillards.com
The shoes: Peep toe pumps but not in black. This one is a purpley-silverish textured snake. Its perfect for this outfit, and it doens't scream color. It's almost neutral.
Steve Madden $69.95 SteveMadden.com
The Bag: This clutch that Angie is carrying is a maroon. But this one is a plum burgandy and is still keeping to the patent shine like angies. The gold hardware just adds that extra touch of glam.
Nine West $39.99 at Piperlime.com
Fergi. She is all rock chic. I love this look because she turns a spring dress into a fall knockout, pairing it with this seasons fab black and gold trend. The red bag just adds that fergie punch!
The dress: You want to find a dress that spring and feminine. Must be a delicate print. And green is totally spring. So what I found is this fabulous dress that is just as dainty but with a faint gold shimmer to the fabric.
La Rok $59.00 at Tobi.com
The leather jacket. Motorcylce cut, check! Plus it has that quilted detail that makes it look more expensive.
Victorias Secret $159 at VictoriasSecret.com
The belt was nearly impossible to find. And I didnt want to find a plain gold belt. It had to have the bar detailing. And here it is. Fergies is metal bars but who cares. You get a fab gold belt that attracts attention to the smallest part of your waist!
Rough Roses $60.00 at CoutureCandy.com
The Shoes: Fergies shoes can be found identicle at every price. Its a basic black patent round toe pump. But when I saw these I had to use them for this outfit. Its the basic black pump glamified! (Is that a word? It is now!)
Boutique 9 $108.00 at Zappos.com
The bag: A pop of red to a delicate floral dress is genious!
Juicy Couture $95.00 E-luxury.com

Burberry Beverly Hills

At the reopening of Burberry Beverly Hills, classy A-listers arrived to enjoy a scene of LA, and I mean literal LA. Mojitos, kosher style smoked salmon topped latkes, a waiter serving fries and DJ Ryan Gossling?.... Thats right, unexpected "DJ" Ryan Gossling tended to the vinyl spinning Doo Wop. His choice. But with comfort food, fabulous people and get up and dance music, all surrounded by a chick black and white Burberry store? I WISH I was there!

Molly Sims, Jaime King and Maria Menounos. All looking oh so fab!

"DJ" Ryan Gossling

Amy Smart in a vary smart dress!

The all black and white super gorgeous store

Mena Suvari Ooh lala!
(A tad too much going on, but love her anyways)
Liv Tyler, Burberry's Christopher Bailey, Kate Hudson, and Mario Testino.

Kate Beckinsale looks glam.

Dustin Hoffman

Mischa Barton looking...well a bit drabby looking. Hair, drabby. Coat paired with marry janes... drabby. Just plain bla.

Maria Bello
LOVING the statement necklace!

Gone To Cape Town

When I think of capes I think of Little Red Riding Hood, or a lost dame in the middle of the woods. It's almost costume like to wear a cape. But this season getting cozy doesn't get prettier than cocooning yourself in a drapy warm cape. Throw a chunky knit one on, with a pair of jeans to protect yourself from the cold when running around town. Or go demure by wearing one with a tie bow at the neck. Wear this fab trend in fur, over a fitted dress and heels for a romantic night out. If you prefer a funkier look, go for one with a plaid print and sport it with your jeans tucked into your boots. Classy gal? Grab some wide legged trousers which are all the rage this season and pair it with a beautiful creme colored wool cape. Want to rock your look like a hot celeb? My preferable choice is just as Anna Sui sent it down the runway, worn as a dress! Slide some leggings or tights on and your brand new fall boots to rock this look. You'll be sure to snag some envious glares.

Whichever way you prefer to wear your cape, long or short, classy or trendy, you surely won't look like Little Red Riding Hood. Instead, you will sweep the town off its feet with your fashion forward ensemble!

Runway looks, followed by where you can actually snag this trend.

Lauren Conrad Collection Spring 09 at LA Fashion Week

The oh too famous for her own good Lauren Conrad, AKA LC, graces us with her Spring 09 collection at LA's fashion week, and let me tell you, I wish spring were here. Forget the fact that fall is my favorite season, and I have been endless awaiting it, LC's looks make you want to grab the models and wear the ensembles yourself. The fresh approach to a French spring was a breath of... well fresh air! Airy florals and flowy minis flirted down the runway. Lightweight fabrics floated angelically. The models hair was noticably LC style, easy fresh waves and natural makeup. The best part about it, was that she made looking like a young natural french so effortless. Every piece is so easily worn for the everyday fab woman. The collection was naturally beautiful and flawless.
